I truly suggest you get these 2 booklets before venturing into this craft. It is not an   inexpensive craft to begin and these 2 booklets will give u a very good idea of what you are in for,

It is a beautiful skill and w/it your home will become stunning w/all the gorgeous things you will make for it, but it is costly however very rewarding. Although when compared to what one of your handmade pieces cost as opposed to what you would have to pay in the open market it is much less. 

I love it but one tends to get into all aspects of glass works once started down the glass road. like me, I'm into stained glass, kiln formed glass/jewelry. mosaics, glass etching, and 3d wall tiles, my next venture is going to be glass blowing, an extremely   beautiful and difficult craft to master.
